A new Bureau for the OGAE International will be elected in May 2017. According to the OGAE International Statutes the Bureau elections take place every other year. Elections will take place for each of the following seven posts: President, Secretary, Treasurer, Bureau members (2) and Deputy members (2).
You may find information for each post in the OGAE International Statutes. The main tasks of the President of the Bureau are that s/he shall represent OGAE International and lead the Bureau in accordance with the Statutes. S/he shall oversee the good operation of the activities, represent OGAE International in its external relations including in national and international organisations and events, represent OGAE International ipso jure in legal process and initiate a general meeting or a Presidents’ Board discussion without a general meeting via private forum on the Internet. S/he shall chair the meetings of the Presidents’ Board.
The Secretary of the Bureau is responsible for the administrative tasks, including both internal and external public communications. The main tasks of the Treasurer of the Bureau are responsibility for the financial and budgetary tasks. The Ordinary Members are responsible for tasks defined within the Bureau, for example organising Euro Fan Café, Fans desks in the press center ets.
The Bureau calls for applications to the seven posts. Any active member of an OGAE member club is invited to put themselves forward for election. Please note that the actual elections will take place in Kyiv at the Presidents’ Meeting but the respective candidates do not have to be present during the Presidents’ Meeting.
Those interested in putting themselves forward should apply in writing to laufeyhelgagudmundsdottir@gmail.com by midnight (CET) 11 April 2017 including a short cv/resume and explanation of why they would like to serve on the Bureau.
Information about the candidates will be circulated to the Presidents of the OGAE clubs by email no later than 14 April. The respective candidates will then have the opportunity to introduce themselves in the Presidents’ meeting in May.
