We have a winner in the OGAE Second Chance Contest 2026 – the 40th edition of our long running contest that celebrates national final songs that didn’t make it to Eurovision.
Many congratulations to OGAE Italy, with Ditonellapiaga taking the trophy for her song “Che Fastidio!”, which came third in this year’s San Remo festival.
This is now OGAE Italy’s fifth victory, following such greats as Anna Oxa (1997), Nek (2015) and Annalisa (2018 & 2024).
The OGAE Second Chance Contest – one of two overseen by the OGAE International network – has been running since 1987, and this year’s contest was hosted by OGAE Sweden, following Klara Hammarström’s victory in 2025.
